From Burnout to Balance: A Working Mom’s Guide

There was a time in my life when everything looked “perfect” on paper.

I had the career I had worked so hard to build. I had a loving husband, three beautiful kids, and a full calendar that made me feel needed, important—even successful.

But behind the scenes?

I was waking up exhausted, even after 8 hours of sleep.

I’d go from Zoom meetings to soccer practice to dinner duty without catching my breath.

And in the quiet moments—if they came—I would find myself staring off, wondering…

“Is this really it?”

I was burnt out. Spiritually empty. And disconnected from the joyful, grounded woman I used to be.

And the hardest part? I didn’t know how to stop.

I thought if I just kept pushing, I’d eventually feel better.

But more effort wasn’t the answer—alignment was.

The Hidden Burnout of High-Functioning Women

If you’re a high-achieving, heart-centered woman like me, burnout doesn’t always look like collapse. Sometimes, it looks like:

  • Functioning at full speed while feeling numb inside

  • Being everyone’s go-to—but no longer recognizing your own voice

  • Achieving milestones and still feeling unfulfilled

  • Snapping at your kids, feeling guilty, and promising yourself you’ll do better tomorrow

I was doing “all the things”—career, family, commitments—but I was completely misaligned from my purpose. I had lost the ability to hear my soul.

What Balance

Actually

 Looks Like

Balance isn’t a perfect calendar or color-coded planner.

It’s not squeezing in more self-care or signing up for another productivity app.

Balance is when your external life begins to reflect your internal truth.

Here’s how I began to shift—and how I now help other women do the same in my 1:1 coaching:

1.

Start With Stillness

I began carving out quiet time—not to check something off a list, but to listen to my soul. Five minutes in the morning. Deep breaths before bedtime. These moments helped me tune into what I really needed.

2.

Redefine Productivity

I stopped measuring my worth by how much I got done.

I started asking: What feels aligned today? Some days, that was finishing a project. Other days, it was saying no. Letting go of guilt was a game changer.

3.

Get Clear on What You Want

Once I gave myself permission to dream again, everything changed. I created a vision that aligned with my values—peace, freedom, purpose—and took small steps toward it every day.

That journey led me to become a life coach, to serve other women who feel what I once felt: lost, tired, and unsure how to find themselves again.

You Can Be a Great Mom, a Purpose-Driven Woman,

and

 at Peace

This isn’t about abandoning everything.

It’s about remembering yourself—the soul underneath the roles you’ve taken on.

You don’t have to choose between ambition and alignment.

You can be successful and deeply grounded.

You can lead your family and live a life that fills you up.

And I’m here to help you do exactly that.

Ready to Realign?

If you’re feeling the pull for something more—clarity, peace, purpose—trust that whisper. It’s your soul calling you back home.
